Price > BB200 Upper is the slowest and strictest of the Bollinger breakout signals: the close must clear the upper band of a 200-period moving average. On a daily or weekly chart that represents months of price history, so clearing it is a meaningful event rather than a routine bounce.
Because the 200-band moves slowly, a break above it points to a genuine regime change — price escaping a long base into a new range. These signals are rare and lag the fastest setups, but they tend to mark the strongest, most durable trends. They are best read alongside a Golden Cross or rising volume for confirmation.
